More card making

I found this paper over the weekend at Archiver's again...try explaining it over the phone, "cute pink flower paper with holes in between the flowers" really doesn't do it. haha!

All you have to do is strategically cut, glue, and you're done! Very simple, cute cards! Way cheaper than Hallmark.

A snow day!

Starting yesterday afternoon the snow began to fall....and it didn't stop until this morning. We got about 7 inches or so. My bestest friend Kristen and her fiance Scott were supposed to come in town from St. Louis to visit, but I had to call them early this morning to tell them they better stay home...the people on the news were saying 64 in IN was pretty bad still.

Braden and I along with boy Casey and Alicia played in the snow for a couple hours exploring, building, and having fun! : )
These are for you mom!

Concert

Once again we followed our favorite band, The Marquette Weekend, to a town near Evansville, IN this past weekend (Saturday) to support and to hang out. I tried my best to take some "sweet shots" with my *new* camera (new" meaning I got it for Christmas)...I'm still getting used to it, but these kinda turned out despite me not knowing how to correct the flash in a dark room. If you want to check these guys out they're on iTunes, Myspace, DigStation, CD Baby...and probably others...

My first race!

I ran the Anthem 5K this morning here in Louisville, which is the first of three races they call the "Triple Crown". I finished 38th out of 270 in my age group with a time of 24 minutes, 27 seconds. My cheerleader husband was proud of me despite the fact that I made him wake up early on a Saturday morning to go stand outside in the cold. I have still been training for the Derby mini marathon which takes place at the end of April, and most people who are participating in the Derby marathon do the "Triple Crown" to work themselves up to either the full or mini marathon.
On a side note, I think that I have already come to the conclusion taht runners are a different breed...much different than "soccer moms"...I'm not sure how really to explain it...but you would understand what I mean if you went to a race...they are quite fun to watch. : )

Valentine's Day (a little late, I know)

...wasn't too spectacular due to our busy schedules, but I did have a chance to make Braden some cupcakes...he definitely ate over a dozen in two days! And nobody helped him! You would think he'd be packing on the pounds, but nope! He maintains the same weight since our wedding day.
